These Terms of Use (“Terms”, “Agreement”) are a legal agreement between you (“you”, “User”) and [ORGANIZER / COMPANY NAME] (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of [SITE URL] (the “Site”) and any related services, including event registration for our LAN parties (the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Site or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Site.
1) Eligibility and Minors
There is no age restriction to attend or register as long as a minor has permission from a parent or legal guardian.
If you are under 18, you represent that your parent/legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your conduct and any payments/fees.
Children under 13: If you are under 13, you may use the Site only with verifiable parental consent as required by U.S. law. We may restrict or disable accounts that do not meet this requirement.
2) Accounts and Security
To register for an event, you may need an account. You agree to:

Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
3) License to Use the Site
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for its intended purposes (account creation, event registration, and related communications).
You may not:

Reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data not intended for you

Attempt to bypass security or access controls

Disrupt, overload, or interfere with Site operations

Upload malware or use the Site for unlawful purposes
4) Event Registration, Rules, and Conduct
When you register for or attend an event, you agree to follow:

Posted event rules and venue rules

Safety requirements and staff/volunteer instructions

Reasonable policies for equipment, seating, and network use
We may refuse entry, remove attendees, or cancel registrations for behavior including (not exhaustive):

Harassment, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory conduct

Cheating, tampering, or disruptive behavior

Property damage, theft, or unsafe activity

Repeated violation of rules
5) Payments, Third-Party Processing, and Refunds
5.1 Third-Party Payment Processor
Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor (“Payment Processor”). We do not store or directly process full payment card details. Your payment information is handled under the Payment Processor’s terms and privacy policy.
We are not responsible for Payment Processor outages, errors, chargeback handling, or their compliance obligations.
5.2 Pricing
Event prices, fees, and applicable taxes (if any) are shown during checkout/registration.
5.3 Refund Policy (24-Hour Cutoff)
Refunds are available until 24 hours before the scheduled event start time.
We may offer exceptions at our discretion (e.g., event cancellation, major venue change), but are not required to.
5.4 Non-Refundable Fees
Payment Processor fees and other non-recoverable transaction costs may be non-refundable to the extent they are not returned to us by the Payment Processor. If applicable, we will deduct those fees from your refund.
6) Privacy and Data Sharing

7) Communications
By registering or creating an account, you consent to receive transactional/administrative communications (e.g., confirmations, event updates, policy notices). If we send marketing messages, you can opt out where required.
8) User Content
If the Site allows you to submit content (e.g., profile name, avatar, messages, feedback), you agree not to submit content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, infringing, or otherwise harmful.
You grant us a limited license to use user content solely to operate and improve the Services (e.g., display username on your registration, respond to support).
9) Intellectual Property
The Site and its content (software, branding, logos, text, graphics) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
10) Disclaimers
THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that events will run exactly as advertised (venues, schedules, and formats may change).
11) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/data, arising from your use of the Site or attendance at events.
Our total liability for any claim related to an event registration will not exceed the amount you paid to us for that registration (or $50 if you paid nothing), unless applicable law requires otherwise.
12) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless [ORGANIZER / COMPANY NAME], including staff/volunteers, from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from:

13) Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or your account for violations, security reasons, or operational needs. You may stop using the Site at any time.

We may update these Terms periodically. The “Last Updated” date reflects changes. Continued use of the Site after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
15) Governing Law and Venue (Indiana)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
